Shipping Policy

Dispatch Times

MakoStars will normally send an order the next business day after confirmation of payment. In some cases, orders placed before 11:00 a.m. on weekdays will be shipped the same day.

We do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays, Japanese national holidays, New Year holidays, or our company holidays.

If a product is out of stock after your order is placed, it may take longer to dispatch. We will notify you by email in this case.

Shipping Carriers

Domestic orders within Japan are shipped via Japan Post or Yamato Transport. We cannot provide a guaranteed delivery date due to factors beyond our control, including weather conditions, traffic, and carrier service conditions. We do not currently offer next-day shipping.

Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled for the following reasons:

  • The product has staining or damage
  • The number of orders exceeds available inventory
  • Other unforeseen circumstances

We will notify you by email if your order is cancelled.

International Shipping

We provide international shipping on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us at info@makostars.com with your details and request.

Please note:

  • All overseas orders are consolidated to one delivery
  • If the shipping carrier does not deliver to your specified address, we reserve the right to cancel your order before processing
  • Overseas orders may be liable for customs charges, taxes (including GST), and brokerage costs — these are the responsibility of the recipient
  • MakoStars will not reimburse customers for import costs, nor provide a refund if a customer refuses to pay them
  • All orders with an overseas delivery address are firm sale — store credit or refunds are not available for international orders

Return & Refund Policy

Return Window

We offer refunds and/or exchanges within 30 days of purchase. After 30 days, no refund or exchange will be offered.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused and in the same condition as received
  • The item must be in its original packaging
  • You must provide a receipt or proof of purchase
  • Only regular-priced items may be refunded — sale items cannot be refunded

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. To exchange an item, email us at info@makostars.com and we will provide return instructions.

Exempt Items

The following items are not eligible for refunds:

  • Gift cards
  • Digital products
  • eBooks
  • Bulk orders provided with special pricing

Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be granted at our discretion for:

  • Items not in original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
  • Items returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refund Processing

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, the refund will be applied to your original payment method within a certain number of days depending on your bank or card provider.

If you have not received your refund, please check your bank account first, then contact your credit card company. If you still have not received it, contact us at info@makostars.com.

Return Shipping Costs

You are responsible for paying your own return shipping costs. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Gift Items

If an item was marked as a gift at purchase and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the value of your return.
